Japan’s KDDI to Release Solar-Powered Mobile Phone
The mobile phone user of Japan will soon be turning their cell phones to the skies to charge. One of the top wireless carriers of Japan, KDDI Corporation said that, in June, it will begin selling a solar-powered, water-resistant cell phone. And their handset is made by Sharp Corporation.
KDDI wants to step up a base for the eco-friendly products. It planned to make available eco-friendly products to all the ordinary people. In the way to make success of their aim, solar-powered mobile phone is one strong step. The Tokyo-based company said lower use of electrical energy will assist to decrease carbon dioxide productions.
A 10-minute sun-powered charge will give sufficient juice for one minute of talk time and almost two hours of stand-by time. And the solar charge can boost up to 80 per cent of the phone’s battery.
Yet, the company has not said about the cost of this echo-friendly product.
Few months ago, in February, Korean Samsung Electronics launched world’s first solar-powered cell phone. And the company states the cell phone is prepared from the extract of recycled plastic which comes from water bottles.
